緬甸消防局與資訊部官員說，北部一座玉石礦場今天發生山崩，導致數名礦工受困在廢渣堆下，已尋獲113具罹難礦工遺體，另有多人仍受困失蹤。
路透社報導，消防局在臉書（Facebook）發文說，這些礦工在盛產玉石的克欽邦（Kachin）帕坎區（Hpakant）採礦時，連日大雨引發的「土石流」將他們活活掩埋。這篇貼文提到：「目前總共尋獲50具遺體，我們還在搜救。」
